Get Rid of Wrinkles with Atlanta Botox or Xeomin

If you’re feeling old and ugly because of wrinkles, now is the time to consider non-surgical cosmetic enhancements like Atlanta Botox and Xeomin treatments. These cosmetic fillers are a fantastic alternative to expensive plastic surgery, and neither involves any recovery time.

Although not exactly the same, both Botox and Xeomin are made from a neurotoxin protein, Botulinum toxin (BTX). Both procedures are inexpensive and the results usually outstanding.

About Botox Cosmetic Enhancement

Atlanta BotoxBotox is an older procedure that most people know about, even if they’ve never had any form of treatment to minimize wrinkles. Originally introduced to treat a condition that caused uncontrolled spasms and blinking of the eye and area surrounding it, it was first used cosmetically by a Californian plastic surgeon, Richard Clark. But two married Canadian doctors lay claim to discovering it ability to minimize wrinkles in 1987.

Alastair Carruthers was a dermatologist who did skin cancer surgery as well as cosmetic procesures. His wife Jean, with whom he shared rooms, was an opthalmologist who treated various pediatric disorders as well as blepharospasm. She treated the latter with a kind of botulinum toxin, Botox, that temporarily paralyzed muscles in spasm.

It was one of Jean’s patients who discovered Botox got rid of wrinkles, and it wasn’t long before Alastair started using it for his dermatology patients.

The couple conducted clinical trials, and the rest is history.

Described by Dr. Alastair Carruthers as “skin tightening in a simple, safe, effective manner,” Botox was approved by the FDA for cosmetic use in 2002 – specifically to treat glabellar lines that form between the eyebrows. It’s been a success story ever since, getting rid of wrinkles on the forehead, as well as ugly crow’s feet below the eyes.

Overall, an Atlanta Botox treatment will help to regenerate your skin and make it look and feel smooth, without the wrinkles that make you look and feel older.

About Xeomin Cosmetic Enhancement

Xeomin was first approved by the FDA in mid-2010, also initially for treatment of blepharospasm. In 2011 it was approved for the temporary removal of “severe glabellar lines.”

Like Botox, Xeomin is a great neurotoxin treatment for minimizing typical ageing affects of the skin, including wrinkles. The two treatments are made by different pharmaceutical companies.
